Job Description
As Product Education Specialist, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Be an expert across all GuestLogix products and services
- Responsible for architecting our product documentation and knowledge management processes and framework, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure process is followed and maintained
- Develop documentation and training materials for new and existing GuestLogix employees
- Update documentation and training materials to incorporate release or revision changes to the GuestLogix products
- Provide product demos to support training curriculum
- Conduct training needs assessments to determine appropriate learning solutions
- Utilize adult learning theory to create learning solutions which encourage an interactive, engaging and thought provoking learning environment
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop knowledge assets such as documentation, and learning solutions such as instructor-led sessions, virtual classroom experiences, as well as self-paced e-learning all based on the GuestLogix product suite.
- Provide practical support, assistance, helpful suggestions to others for development of technical and product related training
Key Qualifications and Competencies:
- This position requires a Bachelor's Degree (with a concentration in education, instructional technology or related discipline preferred) and 3+ years experience in an instructional design or a technical training development environment.
- The ability to work in an ever changing, project-driven environment with a strong design sensibility when creating instructional materials and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts in simple terms are essential.
- This person must be detail oriented, have strong project management skills, have high energy, and the ability to work in fast-paced, demanding environment.
- You must have the ability to execute a number of parallel tasks and work with cross-functional teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Needs to be autonomous and proactively strive to maintain expert knowledge of social commerce, technical, or professional principles related to Technical Training and Documentation, e.g., meeting with subject matter experts.
